History
The cabinet has approved the principles of Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) on 28 June 2016 as an ASEAN leading economic zone and assigned the Ministry of Digital Economy and Sociey to establish the industrial and innovation promoting zone, which is now the Thailand Digital Valley
The area aims at strengthen cooperation among private and public sectors, institutions and educational entities to build up digital ecosystem and open platform for domestic and international startups as well as promote and support designs of products and services. Thailand Digital Valley will be a basement for digital infrastructure, technology and advanced innvoation such as Super Maker Space, Next Gen Telecom lab, AI/IoT Lab, XR Lab, High Value-Added Software, Robotics, Cloud Innovation Center, and Digital Services
